The goal of philosophy of science is to question the assumptions that science takes for granted. Understanding what science is helps evaluate what is good/bad science. Science is the quest to explain the truth about the universe to understand, explain and predict the world we live in. Ancient greeks were trying to do this but their methods were flawed not science. Astrology trying to do this too but also not science. Religion/philosophy again try and do this but clearly not science either. Using scientific metod start with an idea about how the world works test the idea. Therefore, something more is required to qualify it as science definition is incomplete against physical reality using both observations and carefully designed experiments generate theories. Greeks method was wrong and not science because they did not use this method. Blueberries (minerals that form in acidic water must be liquid)
