Nero sets himself up as a hellenistic king and is forced to commit suicide: after nero 4 men are declared emperor as there are no relatives left. Vespasian: soldiers are inspired by the praetorian guard declaring claudius emperor and so they declare their own men empire. These men are all emperor to some and not to others have to fight it out to see who becomes emperor vespasian wins. Vespasian: titus flavius vespasianus (a. d. 69-79: hence flavian dynasty, he was sent by nero to judaea to put down an uprising by the citizens there who were trying to set up an independent state.
