Between the procession and the sea monsters: procession is about rome itself while the sea side is seen as visual enjoyment as a nice piece of art. Sea procession of neptune has more blended figures on top of each other: size shows importance servants are smaller and gods are the largest. This altar is too narrow and doesn"t fit design of roman altars likely a support for statues.
