Tomb architecture in caere: large square chambers with pillars to support the ceiling, frequently underneath level of the earlier tombs, still decorated in old tradition of caere. Some decorated with painting another with decorations: caere, tomb of the alcove, mid 4th century. The most prominent place is a separate room, similar to a bedroom. Inside there is a large bed carved in stone. Special because it is not only a reproduction of interior architecture but also because there are objects found within. Recessed niches benches for the bodies. Central part was dug down in order to create a second line of benches for bodies. Most important place is the one you see immediately when you get into the tomb. Benches in the center are for couples would be for the founder and his wife. Shields, helmet, sword: weapons a tradition we have already seen, aristocratic custom like showing their weapons and the weapons of their elders.
