New buildings in the forum (for the start of the republic of rome) These buildings represent what the republic idealizes. Built right below capitoline and palatine hill with via sacra running through it. Assocaited with castor and pollux, also with the battle of lake of regillus (fighting the last etruscan king, tarquinius superbus: forces of new roman republic vs the old tyrant. Happens within the first decade of the formation of the republic (formation was 509) In this battle the romans had help from demigods castor and pollux. Immediately after helping the romans the demigods watered their horses at the spring we are focusing on. Very important event for the success of the republic. 484 this was right after the battle of lake regillus (this battle was important because they helped in the battle) this symbolizes the new states victory in battle (military success), also showing the support of all gods.
