Told in the iliad which combines many themes of ancient myth and is one of the most widely read works. Nereid thetis tried to make her son immortal by dipping him into the styx she hold him by the ankle and because of this his heal is vulnerable. Thetis leaves peleus and achilles is raised by chiron. Achilles grows up and becomes a man thetis hides him on scyros because she knows he"ll die in a great war. Achilles is dressed in drag, but sleeps with one of the daughters of the court. Odysseus goes to the palace to find achilles while at a banquet he yells that there are enemies at the feast.
