New bus routes will be created in preparation for the olympics to ensure useful and efficient transportation. Calgary transit also offers the best way to avoid traffic while getting across the city in a timely manner in the c-train. Existing c-train lines provide easy access to facilities like canada. Calgary transit is an efficient form of transportation inside the city of calgary that will be able to support the olympics. The olympics will create an opportunity to further improve calgary transit with new bus and train routes. The green line lrt project will provide an additional c-train line to get across the city from. The green line project will be completed by 2024, well in time for the 2026. Since the green line lrt is already green lit and in development, it will not count towards the total budget of hosting the 2026 games.
