Collective - our work ; communicating to one another, creating networks. Disrupting the status quo - making/doing your own thing and reflecting on whether you are engaging in discussions about oppression as one of the oppressed or as an oppressor. Zines - very personal; connect the personal and the political. Connected to guerilla girls; reflection on women and creative arts and how women"s creativity has been historically domesticated and made to mean something other than art. Zines represent an alternative to working within the establishment (be it art, literature, journalism, music, etc. ) An overview of the performance art group and its politics- indicates the global reach and legacy of riot grrrl culture. The objects that surround us are gendered (architecture, clothing, art, etc. )
