Addressing poverty is essential in creating a society where everyone, regardless of their means, background, or ability, can be actively engaged members of their communities. Governments should use the resources to help alleviate poverty but also use them to avoid making poverty worse. Arguing that most of the steps we take to address poverty are after poverty - when people"s incomes are already too low ex child benefit and it typically has to do with income redistribution. Women in her 40"s and cannot make enough to provide for herself and her daughter. Working various part-time jobs and still can"t afford her own house - lives with her parents that are a primary support system. Fight for 15- a bunch of people who work crazy part-time work and barely make above minimum wage or people who are on temp work for almost all their life.
