Anti-oppressive supervisor works together with people in an organization to write policies and have training. Crown ward deals with children who have been taken away from their parents. Socially locating yourself depends on your world view; socially locate yourself based on race and origin, social and personal awareness. There continues to be an overrepresentation of marginalized groups within the child welfare system. Aboriginal youth (0-19) represented less than 3% of the total child population in ontario (census 2006) There is a 1 in 7000 chance of child welfare getting involved with child a. Child b has a 1 in 10 chance of child welfare getting involved. Popular belief of what is normal creates idealism, dominant culture and group creates all of these.
