Socsci2003 kids dealing with grief (a video we watched i don"t remember the name i don"t think she said it) The issue of death is addressed in an attempt to understand how children grieve. Look at their body language, facial expression and drawings to see how they are dealing with it. If we find death of a love one hard to deal with imagine how hard it must be for a child. The children have trouble believing how something like that can happen to them. They live in the moment and take things like their parents for granted. They can never imagine that tragedies will happen to them as they age. One of the young boys was embarrassed when he cried while talking about his father" funeral. Is that how we teach boys that they shouldn"t be okay for boys to cry. One girl said when her father was buried she was laughing and playing but now she feels guilty.
