Lots and lots of talk about sexuality- what is ab/normal. Rather then a repression of sexuality- not talked about. During this period: sexuality became an identity, was once a series of behaviours or practices, e. g. sodomy = oral & anal sex, bestiality, non-procreative sex, were sinful & criminal. Also during this period heterosexual identity became the norm. Hetero genital sex was natural : b/c of its relationship to reproductive function.
