However, these social & sex revolutions: are experienced and understood differently by feminist activists. Although revolutionary rhetoric of civil rights & anti-war movements emphasized sexual freedom: Women felt ignored, patronized and sexually exploited by political men. Sexual liberation for (men) meant freedom to make it with anyone, anytime. However, sexual freedom had a different meaning for women.
