During his final year at college, he became interested in the emerging field of. Since this time sociology had been slowly & gradually growing: found himself interested in scientific methods & moral principles his studies here. Greek sociology as a discipline in its own right: durkheim discovered that sociology could help him understand the pressing social issues that existed in french society. Understanding those issues would help improve life in france: completed his studies in 1882.
