Durkheim and freud used the same evidence to make separate arguments. Strachey freud told him that he regarded t&t was his best written work: book favorite of freud"s through his career, alfred kroger anthropologist reviewed t&t was critical and freud was not a fan. Freud says that he has no problem with taboos: he shows that modern day taboos are still present in todays society. F&d shares the idea that the human kind progresses they are both evolutionists: still dealing with pre-wwi. Durkheim also picked up on it exogamy was the rule in the tribes forbidden to sleep with people in same tribe. Freud incest was far more significant for him than durkheim.
