Defining sport: scholars, media and fans have provided different definitions of sport, the meaning is contested (not universally agreed upon, e. g. Tv networks label as sport many activities others would not consider sport: poker, darts, auto racing, wwe wrestling, guttmans historical typology, differentiates between: Sports: sports are distinguished by: organization, competition, and physicality, chess is an organized, rule bound competition. But its non-physically excludes it from being classified as a sport: leapfrog is a physical and organized game. But lacks the competitive aspect necessary to be labelled a sport: a traditional definitions.
