Document Summary

In addition to the petty bourgeoisie, marx mentions other middle classes. Possibly used as terms to refer to the petty bourgeoisie, or refered to other types of middle classes (not sure due to abrupt before writing detailed paper regarding this) He thought that these middle classes would disappear. The middle class would then either go up into the bourgeoisie or go down and become the proletariat. The majority would go to the proletariat, while few would go up. Small businesses might grow and then hires individuals, therefore becomes part of the bourgeoisie or a small business is sold to a large company and then the owner becomes a worker thereby becoming proletariat. The nature of productive work as marx saw it. Firstly the human ability that we have to create things is satisfying and rewarding. Secondly it is good because it allows us to be social, to work with other people in the process of production.
