Increased female labour force participation: domestic labour and unpaid labour, prevalence of caregiving. Not just caring for kids, but anyone in the family who may become ill, disabled, etc: gender differences. Women care for other family members that need help than men. Aging population, more people have to care for elder family members. Impacts women"s employment; reduce hours or stop working altogether: characteristics of unpaid labour which make it stressful. Some instances are a burden to people, can"t go to work, can"t go to school not always accommodations for things that may come up at home. Most employees don"t have the ability to take time off work to take care of family members have to use vacation or sick days, or simply take unpaid days off work. People feel they can"t be honest with employers about why they are missing work.
