Married couple families common but are declining. People are opting to cohabit instead of marriage. 1960-1970 to 1980-1990 started to decrease marriage. Increase in commuter marriages, or lat couples, separate homes. Blended families- experience problems with adjusting (children of divorced parents coming into a new family) can bring financial issues into new marriages and families, How kids do when their parents spilt, some do well some do not. First, children are hurt by parental conflict, if there is a lot of conflict, divorce could be a solution that would benefit children. Children need consistency in there daily lives, when their routines are disrupted, causes issues for the child, impacts their lives negatively. A lot of financial loss when divorce, leads to moving, leads to kids having to move, new school, new friends, this cases distress. Research on the impact of divorce on children ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ No fault divorce made it more accessible for divorce.
