How people use language to talk about certain subjects. "we need to change the discourse on this topic" Everybody is engaged in discourse, because everyone is engaged in communication with each other. Controls people by words like "opposite sex" reproduce the binary thinking because there"s either men, or women. A lot more words to degrade women then there are to men. Discourse analysis: generally, an analysis of knowledge production, organization and circulation. Culture is a complex collection of values, beliefs, behaviours and material objects shared by a group passed on from one generation to the next.
