Men who join cheerleading are thought of as being gay. Interestingly, the women in cheerleading help the men with their stigma management strategies. Methods: participant observation qualitative interviews (n=17) focus group interviews (group with similar characteristics. The girls got in after and look what they did to us with the mini skirts and pompoms they take it back from women and when when had it it was a sport and the women came. But now we will reclaim our sport and present it as a sport before the women came redefining cheerleading as a atheleticism they are really proud of: emphasize toughness and aggression. We the guys will get people to recognize it since women need us to that for cheerleading. I dare someone to say something negative to me . Yeah all those guys who say stuff about us in cheerleading, they don"t mess with me im a cheerleader .
