Structure (society: network of relatively stable opportunities and constraints influencing our individual behaviours, constraints/barriers, position in society provides you with an advantage/disadvantage, cultural/powerful. Recall exercise: professor randomly assigned students with different cuts of paper and asked for the students to crumple up the piece into a ball. From their position, the objective was to throw the ball as close to the professor"s feet as possible. Summary: those who decided to stand up and lean forward for improved accuracy demonstrated agency, wealthier people towards the front of the classroom, coloured people towards the back of the classroom, reflection of position in society. Looking at all different accounts: challenge stereotypes to see ideologies.
