Women"s movement: allowed them to pursue a higher education, sexual revolution was about women having the freedom to have sex outside of marriage and control pregnancy birth control. Increasing secularism: fewer married couples feel constrained to stay married due to religion. Declining social stigma of non-traditional choices: divorce. Increasing individualism: prioritize own happiness over family and marriage. Family policies encompass: money from the government. Income security programs such as maternity and paternal leaves: possibilities how a government supports families. Give families direct/cheque money or tax deductions.
