We often like to think of these natural and industrial disasters as happening far away but we are not immune from these occurring close to us. For example, sydney tar ponds in nova scotia is deemed to be the most hazardous environment in north america. Chapter 24 siq: climate change: causes, impact, solutions (intergovernmental panel on climate change) This chapter outlines the changes we have seen in terms of climate change and the causes of these changes. Climate changes such as global warming, rising sea level, rising water temperatures, increasing water acidity, melting glaciers, increasing climate extremes such as excessive rain and extreme drought and the extinction of various animals.
