The more strongly anchored or attached a person is to society (through their social relationships, such as marriage), the less likely they are to commit suicide. > rates of suicide varied by certain socio-demographic variables (i. e, gender, marital status, religious affiliation). > if the level of ss is too high, people are also at risk of suicide. > women have a lower suicide rate because they"re more strongly integrated into society (due to caregiving roles). Inequality is functional for society - some jobs are more important for society therefore the people who do those jobs must receive some sort of greater benefit (for motivation). A basic feature of society is social inequality . The working class needs to develop an understanding ( class consciousness ) that all other workers have the same interests. > how much money you have will determine how you think/ how you view the world. Society is an ongoing creation - created via interactions.
