Order theory: society is characterized by consensus over shared values everyone agrees, focused on order and stability. Stability, equilibrium: how to maintain social order all parts are working smoothly. Analogy to human body: made of different parts and they"re all interrelated, if something bad happens to one part, everything is affected same thing about society (parts: institutions etc. ) Functionality of parts: some jobs more important than others aka we have to offer greater financial support. Criticizes functionalism says it is totally wrong. Lower class revolt against capitalism and replace. Most important: economic or material conditions it with socialism: our material conditions of life shape how we think.
