Religious places, times, celebrations: we think they bear the essential aspects of religion, religioning. Sui generis concept: how do we come to know what religion is. When speaking about religion: it is considered as being something that all humans experience. Defines religion as a concern which contains the answer to the question of the meaning of life: organises all priorities of life. Monday, may 4, 2020: gives human beings a meaning. Mircea eliade: insists that religion is innate. Predisposed to being religious or encountering our world as being religious and sacred. Religion is part of the human consciousness: says that humans are homo religiosa. We are predisposed towards being religious or towards encountering the world as sacred: cannot be explained by disciplines such as sociology, history, psychology, etc.
