Fish can detect chemicals that fry release that they aren"t able to access in the egg state. Chemicals they smell are recogniion chemicals, and can tell if the young are their own. Looked at how the efects of relatedness changed parental care. Collected sneaker males, and put them in plasic containers around the nests of some males.
