Anthropomorphism and intentionality abou the purpose or function of things: human psychology involves heavy bias towards though, natural selection is not functionally directed, human-like conscious intent is ascribed to natural selection. Designed to generate behaviour appropriate to environmental circumstances (response to stimuli) Based on chemicals and firings of neurons: neural circuits were designed by natural selection to solve problems that our ancestors faces.
