The things that make us scared are a lot of the same things that scare other animals. Hollywood capitalizes on the things that make us scared the most. When animals are frightened they have either a flight or fight response. Can fight physically by actually physical contact or even sound (kind of like bluffing with your sound) and chemically. When animals flight they can run away from the danger or hide away from it. Piloerection goose bumps are a response in our bodies to fear, seen in many animals. Some individuals have lower frequency vocalizations as a sign for people to stay away from them and in a way be weary. Phase shift and chorusing: humans do not do naturally this, it consists of altering sound waves so that sounds sound liquidy to us. Adding an octave makes a voice sound scarier. Noise: periodic sound, is loud, is crunchy, is noisy.
