Forgiveness health and wellbeing: forgiveness is beneficial for the person who is engaging in it, this is why is many religions promote forgiving, there is literature that indicates the positive effects of forgiving. If we look at state forgiveness we notice that it is correlated with lower levels of negative affect. It would be nice to convince people to forgive publicly but it is not necessary. It is considering that you are not doing it the right way: you think about the possibility of changing the way you are dealing with things, the facilitator will ask you to consider forgiveness. If that is possible you move the individual to make a commitment and intend to forgive. It shows we have found meaning forma negative event. It has allowed us to let go, we now have a feeling of release. It changes the forgiver in a positive way.
