If you do not believe in your abilities, you will not work or try as hard and will not achieve as much. It has been argued that an overblown self esteem is still better than a more realistic assessment in terms of promoting positive choices behaviors and success. If (cid:455)ou do(cid:374)"t thi(cid:374)k (cid:455)ou (cid:449)ill (cid:271)e good e(cid:374)ough (cid:455)ou (cid:449)ill (cid:271)eha(cid:448)e i(cid:374) (cid:449)a(cid:455)s that (cid:448)alidate that view which then supports your beliefs which increases your poor behavior, this is cyclical. It maintains our ability to get through life.
