In the current dsm there are 3 diagnoses of adhd. Adhd- predominiantly inattentive (adhd-pi), the second is adhd-predominantly hyperactive and impulsive (adhd-phi) First of all there are a list of 9 symptoms on the criteria, and you need to show at least 6 of these for at least 6 months. Looks at the criteria on the powerpoint slides. Ego centric unaware of how others see them. Difficulty reading facial expressions (similar amongst autistic people) Epidemiology study of the distribution frequency of a disorder of any kind (physical or mental) Incidence is the number of cases in a particular time period. Prevalence is how many existing cases are there in some time period. Annual prevalence: how many cases in past year (not the same as annual incidence)
