Post-ketamine: harraz et al (2016), identify new molecule (cgp3466b) with antidepressant properties works on glutamate/nmda receptors, important because not dopamine or serotonin, already known to be non-toxic in humans, and non-addictive. Physical treatments: electroshock therapy (est; ect): rapid, for severe cases. Memory side effects: very highly effective, delivery of ect: don"t recall memory approx. Psychological treatments: psychodynamic psychotherapy, patient lies on couch and talks about problems o cognitive therapy, much faster and no less effective. Schizophrenia spectrum disorder and other psychotic disorders lomoar cpsd| 2151316. For much of the time, level of functioning in one or more areas is below that achieved before onset of symptoms. Signs of disturbance persist for at least 6 months, including 1 month of symptoms from the list. Schizoaffective disorder and depressive or bipolar disorder with psychotic features have been ruled out. Disturbance not due to effects of a substance or to another medical condition.
