Separation anxiety disorder - childhood diagnostic (ages 3-5) Selective mutism - individuals who can speak but in certain circumstances they find self unable to do so. Specific phobia - fears of things in environment. Social phobia - along with specific phobia = most common. Individuals who have anxiety with a group of people. Agoraphobia - fear of being out in public where something embarrassing might happen. Generalized anxiety disorder - broad anxiety of different things. Excessive anxiety "more days than not" for 6 months or more, about several events or activities. Person finds difficult to control worry - might be excessive but we find ways to get by - if its like this, we do not meet criteria. Difficulty falling to stay asleep or restless sleep. Symptoms cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.
