Body dysmorphic disorder: parts of body are misshaped or ugly, affects many young people, no focussing on. Hoarding disorder: compulsive purchase and collection of things. Ocd and related disorders due to another medical condition. Unspecified and ocd and related disorders: where something doesn"t fit. Characteristic symptoms are anxiety and avoidance behaviour: most frequent in general population, specific phobias and social phobias most common, panic most common among people seeking treatment. Obsession: persistent intrusive thoughts, urges or images that cause anxiety or distress in most individuals and that the individual tries to ignore, suppress or neutralize (usually unsuccessfully) O/c take more than 1 hour/day or cause clinically significant impairment (social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning) Not due to a substance or another medical condition. Disturbance not better explained by symptoms of another mental disorder. Compulsions are usually together to reduce the obsessions and anxiety.
