In learning about people, understand there are internal and abstract concepts that make them different from objects. There is never a grey area, its either nice or mean . No conservation of personality, don"t realize that a person who is nice or mean has a stable personality trait. If a teacher had to punish a kid but is normally nice, the child will say the teacher is mean the day that the teacher punished them. Preoperational if piaget: internal features: begins at ages 7-8, will still describe physical features but will use them as examples of internal characteristics. He smells very much, and is very nasty. Sulky and 11 years old and has lots of sisters. Croaky voice, chews his pencil, picks his teeth and i think he is disgusting. many internal features, but cruel eyes , croaky voice are external, but turned into examples of how horrible this boy is.
