When you look at her thenar eminence- that the muscles have undergone atrophy which will indicate she has some sort of lower motor neuron injury. Symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome: the reason why the little finger is not numbed or in any pain because the area is skin is innervated by the ulnar nerve. Tineal sign: tap on the inside of your wrist over the median nerve. If your feeling numbness, or a mild electric shock sensation in your hand when tapped on the wrist. Phalens sign test: you hold your arms out in front of you and then flex your wrists, letting your hands hand down for about 60 seconds.
