Left off on the 3 types of association in a household. It is curious as to why he starts to look at first into household relationships. In book 1, he is setting the stage for the investigation about politics and the art of rulership (ruling and being ruled). These (cid:272)o(cid:373)po(cid:374)e(cid:374)ts are (cid:448)er(cid:455) i(cid:373)porta(cid:374)t i(cid:374) aristotle"s (cid:271)ook. He wants us to get us to think of the relationship in ruling and ruling elements. If he starts a book in the nature of rulership you need to examine the relationship. In book 1 he is looking at all the natural uneven relationships in our world. This makes it easy to understand the natural relationship of ruling. In a sense he starts off with this because it is the easiest type of rule to understand. It is clear to see who ought to be ruling and who ought to rule.
