Review of what we"ve talked about so far (last week, missed lecture): If you ask an idealist" why the international relations environment looks the way it does; international institutions that we have are undeveloped and do not provide mechanisms where states can work with each other to resolve conflicts. States can only depend on themselves when it comes to their core interests and needs for survival" and security; there is always a concern about being dominated by other states.
