When not to consent there are also situations where you don"t need to get consent from participants (such as minimal risk studies) Appropriate compensation: want to make sure that you are doing this at a minimum, want your participants to know as much as they can possibly know. Debrief: do this as soon as possible (usually as soon as the experiment is done) reporting research results. Duplication of public data sharing data reviewing. Submit protocol to your institution"s research ethics board. Protocol may get a full reb review or be deemed as minimal risk research.
