Can be used for converging evidence pre-existing surveys that have been written carefully and have been validated. Then come up with items that will capture your research interests. Unbalanced in some way suggests in some way that one viewpoint or another is influencing response questions that are worded in a way that is somewhat unbalanced/biased and is subtly suggestive of one answer over another. Interested in how different types of wording affected responses to questions. Had 2 wordings of the same question: 1 word was leading to be optimistic, and the other was leading to be pessimistic. Depending on the wording of the question, it lead to a higher response for the asnwer that the question was leading towards. Loaded question questions that are worded in a way that overtly reveals the researcher"s desired answer by eliciting an emotional reaction, increasing the possibility that a responder will choose the researcher"s preferred response.
