The law of torts is the part of private law that deals with wrongful behaviour that causes harm or damage o another person or their property. 3 key elements of a tort: wrongful conduct, harm, cause. Criminal: between individual and the state and aim towards punishment: the victim v. the accused. Tort law: harm is done between the private citizens as such, without no pre-agreed upon terms: they aim towards remedy: cover all cases involving private citizens doing harm to one another, the victim v. the tortfeasor. Tort law / cases generally broken down into 2 main categories: intentional torts. Deliberate acts intended to injure others, or wherein someone intentionally violates another person"s rights. Some pain does not hurt, but injuries mostly always involve pain: sometimes injuries do not involve pain though: injury to your property and this counts as well. Some things that are not injuries where you can still have your rights violated.
