All models can be applied one-to-one or by group. Music centred model: music is doing the work (no one talking about the music). Improvising and making it up as they go: 2 people work in this nordoff model, clients that do not have musical ability. Community: if playing to evoke social change. In the aesthetic model, it is very important for the client and the music therapist that the music sounds good. Music therapist playing with the musicians of the stringed corset: the first person would set the tone and then the other person etc. : each person will determine how they will respond and how they will go. Frustration and strange music- first time these musicians are improvising together. According to this model as they progress in this therapy session, the better the music sounds. The client/clients will take the lead and the therapist will just start it.
