He put elvis on national television in order to get attention for him. Elvis had 11 appearances on national television (3 channel universe, when youre on prime time tv in 1956 youre getting audiances of 12-40 million every time you appear) End of 1956, everyone knows who elvis presley is. This is the year when he really changed the world. Single recording charted super high in all 3 national charts simultaneously. #1 in pop and country, #5 in r&b.
