Digital technologies are part of the fabric of everyday life and are integral to our experience of the world. These technologies don"t simply assist us in our daily life they shape our daily life: our work, our play, our relationships, our values, and our physical bodies . With technology, some senses are emphasized and other senses are de-emphasized. Tech is constitutive, does not determine what we can do or what we think of the world but it helps to shape it. Tech has functional quality that helps make tasks easier but it isn"t only that. How our senses are modified by technology (autoamputation) Tale of narcissus, related to narcosis state of hypnosis or self-consumption. Mcluhan used tech as extension of ourselves (the human body), physical psychological intellectual. Tech which we often perceive as foreign actually extends natural human capability.
