Any decision that alters the radiation exposure situation should do more good than harm icrp. Are we providing benefit to this patient for this exam. Refer to chest xray and cat scratch story. The total dose to any individual should not exceed the appropriate limits icrp. The thicker the body part, the higher the dose limit.
