Workers are getting frustrated as the strike continues. And the mass arrests that were occurring of the strike leaders. So when the rally took on, the rally was peaceful for the most part. Then something happens that is remembered to this day, when a street car appears that is empty and it starts rolling towards the crowd. The streetcar was the only service that didn"t happen to strike at the time of the last strike. Many thought this street car was set in place by the rcmp, and people crawl ontop of the street car and begin tipping it over. And once this happens the rcmp comes in on horseback and destroys the rally up, by means of water cannon and other force.
