Canada was a country that needed immigration. Immigration takes away jobs (also too many) from people who are already in canada (although grows the working economy) Immigrants come from places that make them a bad fit for democracy. Social: big city crime/instability; immigrants were seen as sexual predators and vulnerable. Immigrants did not feel welcome nor part of the community. Few people killed, but a lot of violence. Highlights how people are set to belong to a particular race. A process made over time; societies make these kinds of races.
