Based on subjecive evaluaions of task demands and personal resources. Resources = skills, knowledge, abiliies, disposiions, external support. Moivated performance situaion task engagement evaluaion of resources and demands. High resources (low demands) challenge sam low trp (total peripheral resistance), high. Low resources (high demands) threat sam + hpa high tpr, low co (shrink vessels) Both have increased hr and vc (ventricular contracibility) Psychological processes: evaluated resources > evaluated demands.
